Am I Missing Something?
As a layperson, am I missing something here?
In the AGC's submission in support of Contempt of Court charges against Terry Xu for sharing my letter addressed to the Chief Justice, the AGC stated "Indeed, in the absence of any prosecution of MalaysiaNow/LFL for contempt, there can be no basis to allege that they have been treated differently from Mrs O'Connor for the purposes of Art 12."
Has the AGC now changed its stance to that stated in its submission to the Court?
Or, was the action taken against Malaysian lawyer Zaid Malek described below, taken knowing that no case of Contempt will be pursued since the lawyer is outside the jurisdiction of Singapore? This being the case, should the actions be seen as nothing more than harassing a lawyer in his effort to assist the death penalty inmate's family?
